Interim Housing

Interim housing provides safe temporary housing for families and individuals transitioning out of homelessness. Each of our properties is enriched with case management and supportive services such as physical and mental health care, legal advocacy, and employment resources. Each person who stays in our interim housing sites works one-on-one with a Housing Navigator to find a permanent home. LAFHBuilds’ interim housing properties are designed through a trauma informed lens to promote safety, well-being, and healing for participants.

We are converting two of these properties, The Sieroty and The Encinitas, into permanent supportive housing through California’s Project Homekey initiative, which used COVID relief funds to acquire motels to convert them into permanent homes.
